How Strikes Work
The purpose of a strike is to apply operational pressure on an employer by workers withdrawing their knowledge and labour. Striking workers may seek to intensify this operational pressure by engaging in activities that apply reputational and financial pressure. The ultimate goal of a strike is get to the employer to agree to a new collective agreement with which the workers can live.
