Important 2026 Dates for AUFA Members

Feb. 16: Family Day, University closed

April 3 – 6 (inclusive): Easter break, University closed

April 30: Deadline to apply for graduation in June. All final grades must be received by the Office of the Registrar, and all program requirements must be completed by this date.

May 18: Victoria Day, University closed

May 31: Deadline to register to attend Convocation 2026. Note: in order to apply to graduate in June, all requirements must be met by April 30. See above.

June 11 – 12, 2026: Visit the Convocation website for more information.

July 1: Canada Day, University closed

Aug. 3: Civic holiday; Heritage Day, University closed

Sep. 7: Labour Day, University closed

Sep. 30: National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Oct. 12: Thanksgiving Day, University closed

Nov. 11: Remembrance Day, University closed

Dec. 25/26 – Jan. 1/27: The University will close at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2026 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2027.

Note: The deadline for applications for ethical approval of human participant research is the last Friday of each month as of February 2026. The first Friday of the month remains the deadline until that time.
