Impact of a Strike

Any strike by AUFA members will cause significant disruptions for students. AUFA professors and academic coordinators will withdraw their teaching services (affecting somewhere between 5000 and 8000 course registrations). AUFA professional members will also withdraw their administrative services, which will affect operations across the university, including registration, IT, course production, and the library.

AUFA, AUPE Local 69 and CUPE Local 3911 have all signed a solidarity pledge addressing refusing to perform struck work. This will further intensify the operational disruption AU will face in any strike.

A strike will also impact AUFA members, financially and professionally.
