On September 11th I, along with leaders of the other three campus unions (AUPE, CUPE, AUGSA) have been invited to present to the Board of Governors on designation. The other unions have generously yielded most of their time to AUFA. As this is a secret and closed meeting I cannot stream or record from that meeting. So instead, I have done the next-best thing which is to pre-record my presentation so it is available to AUFA members and the general public.

This was recorded on September 10th in the evening, and although a few words have changed, it is substantially the same speech. This opportunity to speak to the Board only came after nine months of incredible organizing and direct action on the part of AUFA members and our sister unions. At the time of writing, I do not know how the presentation will go, or how the board will vote, but we have the best argument and they ask me to speak for a reason.
